Well the fashion film of the year has finally been released and we at MizEllie are still in love with the Great Gatsby. So what fashion tips have we learnt from the film? The 1920s style shown in the Baz Luhrmann extravaganza is easy to copy at home with the right costume jewellery and accessories. So here is our guide to roaring 20s jewellery and accessory styles that will leave you looking just as great as Daisy Buchanan does in the film.

Pearls

If there was one trend that the ladies of the Great Gatsby seemed to like it was pearl jewellery. We spotted gorgeous pearl multi-strand pearl bracelets, like the ones worn by Daisy Buchanan at the party she attends at Jay's house, while Tom Buchanan famously gives Daisy a stunning pearl necklace when he is courting her. And Daisy is often seen wearing elegant pearl earrings for women either way pearls are a massive trend in the Great Gatsby.

If you want to achieve the look at home you should opt for long strings of faux pearl beads, or why not try and recreate Daisy's ball look and try out dramatic pearl bracelets and for day wear you can have beautiful pearl drop earrings. Diamonds are a girl's best friend – well at the least in the Great Gatsby

Diamonds and sexy bling was the order of the day for the glam ladies of the Great Gatsby. However, if there is one thing we can learn from Daisy is that understated chic is the order of the day when it comes to diamond costume andfashion jewellery. At MizEllie we lusted after Daisy's chic square cut diamond ring as it was the perfect art nouvelle style.  Even her fab pearl bracelets had great diamond detailing. While she was spotted wearing great round shaped diamond drop earrings. While Elizabeth Debicki's Jordan Baker showed us how to wear the chicest diamond detailing – we loved her gorgeous diamond bracelets, her chandelier earrings and of course the oh so sexy, oh so bling diamond style bib she wore to party at Gatsby's.

If there is one thing the women in the Great Gatsby know how to do is accessorise their chic bobs with gorgeous clips, headbands and silk scarves. From pearl and diamond hair bands to neck scarves worn round the head the hair was just as pretty as the rest of the costumes.
